It’s pretty telling when someone who struggles with politics in general understands it better than a guy who spent time in Afghanistan.

Had a friend an acquaintance of mine say that this wouldn’t happen because “Trump hates China so he’ll defend Taiwan” He’ll also “support Israel so Iran won’t get so uppity!” He also believes that whilst Ukraine is probably fucked, at least the war will be over.

I’m always in two minds. Like you, yes, I can say they’re objectively good, but I tend to find myself enjoying the slightly more experimental stuff rather than the hits that immediately come to everyone’s mind when you mention the band.

I think you’re being optimistic about the number of people who both use adblockers and who care enough to switch browsers.

Heard this argument a few weeks ago which stunned me. This woman was being interviewed about her thoughts regarding nearby farm land being used to build new homes. She retorted along the lines of: “I don’t see why we need all this farm land anyway, you can buy your food from the store!”

I died a little hearing that.
