“Not Hotdog”
And yet the entire context is discussing an expensive SSD that would go bad, inherently implying data loss as part of the inferred outcomes. Not a blender or a crock pot or the LCD display of a 1997 Honda Civic radio.
In the name of even dumber stupid internet arguments, it was. Data loss along with the price paid was an obvious inference.
We call that Arch.
If it doesn’t play Amiga era .mod files, is it really even a music player?
No he’s right even while Matt M is being a massive piece of shit and ruining the WP community cohesion. DeliciousBrains iirc was the original ACF dev org that was bought out by WPE who do a lot of cornering dev using buyouts/investments and then go about with their internal commercialization of tooling built on GPL without contributing to the upstream platforms. WPEngine still aren’t the good guys, they’re just the victims in a case where the expected good guy WP founder and Automattic leader Matt Mullieswaggiesomethingrather turned out to be bad guy that is just as ethically and morally compromised with a little more salt for flavoring.
You’re looking at the full mc package rather than just mcedit. Even then, Midnight Commander is absolutely worth that whopping 7.9MB of space it takes for all the functionality it provides.
Openwrt is not an example to use to compate against a package size, as it’s target built to fit into small firmware storage spaces on all sorts of random hardware. That’s comparing existential philosophy with oranges.
Would you download a car?
The only Dad advice you nerds need:
mcedit from the Midnight Commander (mc) tool is the superior text editor.
I don’t even run arch, btw.
Care to share some highlights?
We are truly living in a time.
waves hands back and forth
“I don’t care”
OH LOOK A CONF FILE TO EDIT.
Full circle, bitches.
This is a good quote, but it lives within a context of professional code development.
Everyone in the modern era starts coding by copying functions without understanding what it does, and people go entire careers in all sorts of jobs and industries without understanding things by copying what came before that ‘worked’ without really understanding the underlying mechanisms.
What’s important is having a willingness to learn and putting in the effort to learn. AI code snippets are super useful for learning even when it hallucinates if you test it and make backups first. This all requires responsible IT practices to do safely in a production environment, and thats where corporate management eyeing labor cost reduction loses the plot, thinking AI is a wholesale replacement for a competent human as the tech currently stands.
What a weird downslope of a take that will obviously result in authoritarian government power expansion and futher censorship.
Just stop using it and support alternatives that dont do it. Have some self control.
Reimplement the old WASTE client from the Nullsoft dude, this time with proper encryption and security and let’s call it a day.
Ok but where’s the poop knife?
I like how we’ve completely erased Vista from our collective memories at this point.
Everyone knows it was hot grits, and she poured them down your pants.
Just /. things.
